ABS are pleased to announce the completion of an 83 burner Nor-Ray-Vac heating system at a new aircraft maintenance facility at London Gatwick.

Gatwick Airport, also known as London Gatwick, is a major international airport. It is the second-busiest airport by total passenger traffic in the UK, after Heathrow Airport. Gatwick is the ninth-busiest airport in Europe Gatwick airport is the UK’s best connected airport by rail and directly connects to more stations than any other European airport station.

The maintenance facility hanger is located at the end of the landing strip and can house two large state of the art passenger planes.

The Nor-Ray-Vac system is mounted at two levels – one at 23 metres and one at 17 metres, in multiple zones that are controlled by a purpose built BMS system.

The installation was supported by a series of gripple wire installed every 2.7 metres.

The Nor-Ray-Vac system is modulating so that maximum efficiency levels are maintained throughout the hanger.

The system took 8 weeks to complete and was done in conjunction with Designer Group of Watford.
