Magistrates' court to become creative hub

Bristol magistrates' court to become creative hub

Something different for us – we were contacted by our good friends Concept Engineering to look at an issue with damp in the old Bridewell Magistrates Courts.

They are currently being refurbished by Bray and Slaughter and will become a multi-use building. The old magistrates court closed around 1974, and was then used as an overflow crown court. It remained in operation until the early 1990s, and was later closed and sold off.

The building, not used for sometime is damp and no matter what was done this did not seem to reduce.

ABS along with Winterwarm suggested to install a couple of Warm Air Heaters to fill the lower floors with warm air and then move the electrical heaters upstairs.

The heaters are being installed on a plinth (uni strut provided by Kernow Fixings) and were fitted to static positions.

This job is ongoing updates to follow.

ABS Ltd are approved installers so do not hesitate to get in touch with us, the industry experts.

We will be happy to provide a free site survey and no obligation quotation.
